Hotel & Family activities

Just got the green light to attend! Can anyone recommend a good hotel to stay at - or maybe a district in which we should focus our hotel search?
My family will be joining me; we're hoping to take a day trip into the mountains on Friday, and my wife plans to take the kids (5, 3, and 5-months) to museums/destinations around Denver. Also, any suggestions on places to take the kids in Denver are much appreciated.

Aquarium
I regularly take my kiddo and her friends to the Downtown Aquarium. It isn't huge, but it is quite well done and it has a rather nice restaurant on premises.
+1 on the Zoo and on the Museum of Nature and Science.
Elitch Gardens is Ok. I go once a year with my family.
You might want to look into a ball game at Coors Field. It is a nice ballpark and the tickets are very reasonable especially if you buy in the "Rock Pile".
The Children's Museum is ok. We've been there when they have had a craft with milk cartons and the cartons hadn't been cleaned right - talk about a stink.
Thanks
We'll add the Aquarium to the list, thanks (I almost wrote 'acquiarium' - too much Drupal on my mind... ).
Looked into a Rockies game earlier, they'll be @Oakland and @LA.
Thanks for the warning about the Children's Museum, we'll pay attention their daily activities list.
Six Flags/Elich Gardens
I just checked Goggle Maps and it looks like the venue is very close to Six Flags/Elich Gardens. I used to enjoy that amusement park when I lived in Denver. If I bring the kids, we will certainly go there.
Looks like fun
That's a good idea, the boys would have a blast at Elitch. We're beginning to wish we had a little more time in Denver.
For certain we'll be taking the boys to the Natural Museum (http://www.dmns.org), they'll love the dinosaurs.
The Denver Chilren's museum
The Denver Chilren's museum is near the venue:

The Zoo is also a great place:

Great ideas
Thanks for the tips!
