I'd like to open up the opportunity to join a nonprofit committee. We are going to start process of creating a nonprofit with the intent of helping organize events like this one. Currently we have four people actively involved:

• Me (Matthew Saunders)
• Jono Shuster
• Paul Coughlin
• Brian Choc

My guess is that we will be looking at a regional organization focused on the Rocky Mountains, but that scope could change depending on the decisions of the committee.

Brian and I talked at the last DBUG meeting and we both believe that a time table would be helpful. So, to that end, if you are interested in helping plan and/or shepherd this process, please add your name as a comment here and then email drupalcolorado [at] dogstar [dot] org with your name and phone number.

I'd like to wrap up who will be on the committee by the end of the month. So, on Monday September 1st, I'll send out a note to everybody who has expressed an interest and we'll set up a time to sit down (perhaps at a coffee shop) and begin the planning process.

Number one on the agenda--a name--so start name storming.
