Presentation Online: http://docs.google.com/a/hidefweb.com/Present?docid=ddxvm76q_82zs9dgk9h&...
CiviCRM (www.CiviCRM.org) is a large contributed module that puts the power of many third-party paid solutions like Convio and Constant Contact into the hands of open source developers like you and me. Our session will provide an overview of CiviCRM, explain its components, and analyze case studies from our community. At the end of the session you'll understand what CiviCRM is, how it works, reasons to use it, and limitations it may have for your purposes. The session will include speakers TJ Cook from HiDef Web Solutions, Brian Hiatt from CivicPixel, and Wes Morgan, a key CiviCRM contributor.
From the CiviCRM website: "CiviCRM is an open source and freely downloadable constituent relationship management solution. CiviCRM is web-based, open source, internationalized, and designed specifically to meet the needs of advocacy, non-profit and non-governmental groups. Integration with both Drupal and Joomla! content management systems gives you the tools to connect, communicate and activate your supporters and constituents."
If you are a developer who has already employed CiviCRM, I'd love to hear from you and feature your case study in the session: tj@hidefweb.com
