BoF: Usability Testing
Let's sit down and have a chat about usability testing. Do you do it for your sites? Why or why not?
We've started doing usability testing on our sites in the last couple months, and we'd love to talk about the methods we're using and compare notes with others.
Agenda:
Lets talk about the following (and whatever else might come up!):
* Benefits (and drawbacks?) of performing usability testing on your designs.
* Deciding how to perform the testing and what questions to ask.
* Finding testers.
* Examining results and acting on them.
* Selling clients on the idea.
Prerequisites:
An interest in creating usable web sites.
Goals:
To explore usability testing in an effort to better serve clients by creating simple and intuitive designs that guide users to the content they're looking for.
